SSSL 2022 Hybrid Conference Locations

SSSL 2022 is rescheduled for June 26-29. See hotel info below!

Hyatt Centric Midtown Atlanta, 125 10th St NE, Atlanta, GA 30309

Situated in the heart of Atlanta’s historic LGBTQ+ neighborhood of Midtown just one-block from the famous rainbow crosswalk, Hyatt Centric Midtown Atlanta is the only Black-owned hotel with conferencing space in the heart of the city. Positioned just 0.2 miles from the “Midtown” MARTA public transit station with direct service from the ATL International Airport, and within easy walking distance of Midtown dining and cultural attractions. SSSL’s hotel room block rate is $139/night. Conference registration, exhibitors, panels, and general meetings will all be held at the Hyatt Centric.

Perhaps the most exciting element of our contract with the Hyatt Centric is the aggressive complimentary room ratio that will fund vouchers for free lodging to be awarded to contingent, underfunded, and graduate student scholars on a need basis.

This lodging program is entirely self-funding but is dependent upon selling-out our room block at the Hyatt. Given the competitive rates we have secured and the incredible support this program provides for our financially vulnerable colleagues, please consider booking with SSSL’s room block.

Note on Former Hotel Reservations and Conference Rescheduling:

The new hotel room block for the June date were reopened, but the deadline to book has now passed. Please note that, as part of the reschedule, the Hyatt Centric automatically cancelled all reservations associated with the former February dates; those cancellations were sent out in early January 2022.

The Hyatt Centric will not automatically rebook former reservations.
